How I run quality on a release

Depth follows risk

Every release gets its own risk-based strategy. Test depth scales with business impact and change risk, so effort goes where a failure would hurt most.

Defects stopped before they are built

I lead refinement with Product Owners, turn business needs into testable acceptance criteria, and review specifications with architects and developers before code is written.

Teams that can test on day one

I prepare test data and environments ahead of builds, close gaps in coverage and process, and mentor new team members through dry-run testing.

Go-live decisions on evidence

Release quality reports with coverage, defect trends and open risks, plus risk acceptance documents, give Product and Engineering leadership a clear basis for go or no-go.

- Define risk-based test strategies per release and lead the end-to-end test process for key M-Pesa and data releases.
- Produce release quality reports and risk acceptance documentation that inform go-live decisions.
- Lead refinement with Product Owners and keep requirements-to-test traceability in Jira and Zephyr Scale.
- Prepare test data and environments, close coverage and process gaps, and help set the team's test strategy and completion report standards.
- Automate web and mobile scenarios with Selenium and Appium, and partner with the automation team on regression.
- Drive defect triage and root cause analysis, reaching a defect resolution rate above 95% in 2025.
